The Hamburg Fire Department is back today to present to our 2nd and 3rd grade classes on safety.
Two of our students had a special ride to school this morning. This was one of the incredible raffle prizes won at our Family Prom last Friday night. Their classrooms were able to join in the fun too. Thank you Putnam Fire Department!

Shopping the book fair
Our book fair is set up and ready for shopping.
Mrs. Rau’s first grade class are learning and practicing letters and sounds using sand. It is the textile practice of the 3 part drill within their literacy lesson
Mrs. Korenchuk was just recognized for WHMI "Making the Grade" award.
We had a couple of visitors come to our school to give a hint about our book. We know there will be a knight and a dragon in the story. What is the title of our book?
On Tuesday, high school varsity basketball players came to read to some of our students. Our kids always enjoy working with our older PCS students.
The Scholastic Book Fair is March 7 -11. Online purchasing starts March 4. Information to purchase books was sent out through Seesaw.

PCS Kindergarten Round Up - Registration and Information Meeting this week
Our first grade and kindergarten friends enjoyed some Valentine fun today. The kindergarten also celebrated 100’s day (100 school days) which is also a kindergarten math standard (counting to 100).

Mrs. Monaster’s kindergarten class is practicing their letters and sounds and blending the sounds to read words. Students then identify if the letters make a real word or nonsense word.
PE floor hockey fun this morning
Mrs. Null’s class is learning and practicing “red words”. These are words that don’t follow the phonemic rules. The kids learn these words through multiple senses-movement, tactile, auditory and visually.
