Scholarship Application Criteria To qualify for a scholarship, the following criteria must be met:  1)  Advertise the foundation in the school newsletter (if there is one) or on school bulletin board.   a. This school field trip was funded by a grant offered by the Spirit of Alexandria Foundation, started in memory of Alexandria Bennett. The foundation's mission is Connecting Children to Nature. www.spiritofalexandria.org  b.	A Spirit of Alexandria Foundation is available to be used for required criteria. c.	Mail a copy of school newsletter to Spirit of Alexandria Foundation.  2)	Include the following information with a link on the school's website, in an appropriate location for a minimum of a year.    a. Spirit of Alexandria Foundation Connecting Children to Nature - www.spiritofalexandri a.org  3)	Provide a paragraph, photo or drawing from each child expressing what the Nature Bus visit meant to them. a.	The items provided will be used in The Amazing Newspaper, the foundations newsletter.   b.	A school name and teacher name will be used - only if parents give permission, will the child's first name be used with their submission. c.		A copy of the Amazing Newspaper can be downloaded from the Spirit of Alexandria website. Our awesome PTO treasurer, Laura Harrison, applied for a grant and was awarded a visit from the Howell Nature Center Nature bus.  They are visiting Farley Hill's 3rd graders today, Monday the 17th.  The kids will experience a live animal presentation and The Nature Bus with fun activities!  This amazing experience was funded by a grant offered by The Spirit of Alexandria Foundation, www.spiritofalexandria.org.  The Foundation was started in memory of Alexandria Bennett with the mission of connecting children to nature.
