Pinckney New Tech strives to ensure that every student graduates aware, eligible, and prepared for college, no matter the post-secondary path they ultimately choose. In service of this commitment, we create an annual opportunity for a NTH-wide college visit. This past December, students visited Michigan State University, touring the campus and enjoying lunch in Brody Hall.
Visiting a college together has a variety of benefits. Simply spending time on a college campus broadens one’s perspective and understanding of what college looks like and builds comfort with and confidence in the possibility of attending. By learning about an institution's admissions expectations, New Tech students can gain greater awareness of what their “resume” needs to look like to set themselves up to be the kind of candidate colleges are looking for.
We were excited to have a good turnout of students and look forward to providing this opportunity on an annual basis!
