Come join us for an evening of baking and talking about living with Celiac Disease. We talk about strategies for eating out or birthday/school parties, disappointments, feeling sick, getting the nutrients we need to be happy and ultimately how to advocate for ourselves.
Hosted by Mrs. Kanerva Teacher at Navigator School in Pinckney.
Baking with Celiac’s
Hi, I’m Mrs. Kanerva and I have Celiac’s disease. If you’re like me it’s totally awesome when I find a food that is gluten free and tastes good, but it’s equally disappointing when I see all the baked goods that I can’t have appear all around me especially through the holidays. I have been baking all my life and have a ton of really yummy recipes that I can share and we can make together! This is a baking club just for us! If you have Celiac’s disease, you know how important it is to bake safely so I’ll teach you some strategies, reminders and recipes.
If you know of someone who has Celiac’s disease, please feel free to invite them!
