Navigator Safety Day is today. Local first responders are presenting to students about their role in our community, tools of their trade, as well as helpful information about safety.
Colonel Don Packard visited our 3rd grade students this morning and handed a dictionary to each student that were donated by the Kiwanis.
Miss Green’s music class invited families to join this week when their child has music. Families watched the kids perform and learned about general music program.
PCS partnered with the EMU nursing program. Student nurses have an opportunity to do an internship in a community setting for a semester. Nurses help our students during the school day as well as give presentations to classes on health and safety.
Navigator students had an opportunity to vote for the t-shirt design for the school shirt. Each student could submit a design during art class.
This Friday is Elementary Night at the PCS Football Game.

Some of our fourth grade students engaged in an activity by exploring artifacts "from the past" and guessed their use. They had a lot of questions. My favorite was "The Clapper" . The kids thought it was a phone charger.
Our third grade students researched different Michigan cities and presented to their peers.
Today, some 4th grade students participated in Taste in Michigan. They researched and sampled different foods made in Michigan.

Sheriff Murphy donated his time for one of our lucky students who won a raffle and received a ride to school. Thank you Sheriff!
Navigator Elementary Spring Fling after school social was today. Students enjoyed hanging out, eating ice cream, playing yard games, and raffle baskets.
Today the second grade students came to tour Navigator Elementary. Our Fifth Grade Leaders shares information about being a student at Navigator and led the incoming third graders on a building tour.
Today Navigator Elementary participated in National Walk/Bike/Roll to school. A special thanks to our our PTO for organizing as well as the parent volunteers, local fire and police departments for encouraging students and supporting this event along the Lakeland Trail route.

The Scholastic Book Fair is this week at Navigator Elementary. Students have the opportunity to invite their special person to shop with them.
