
Superintendent Mr. Todd came to one of our 5th grade classes to present the snow day decision making process. Students then are taking this information for a piece of writing. Mr. Murphy is volunteering as a Navigator Watch D.O.G. and is helping students in this writing activity.





Our Navigator Watch D.O.G.S. Program is up and running. Thank you to the wonderful dads and grandpa’s that are part of team and joining us at Navigator Elementary. Mr. Johnson commented that Halloween was a great day to start. We are also fortunate to include Mr.Van Der Kerkhove and Sherif Mike Murphy as volunteers with us. We have almost 40 Watch D.O.G.S. signed up this year.



Navigator 5th grade students put their handprint on the Navigator Rock. This is a fun tradition to recognize our oldest grade level in the building. Thank you to our PTO and Mrs. Miles for organizing this year.

Tonight Navigator Elementary PTO hosted a Fall Fest. It was a fun family event.





Colonel Don Packard delivered dictionaries to each of our third grade students this week. The dictionaries were donated by the Kiwanis Club. Col. Packard has delivered dictionaries to our PCS third grade students for the past 18 years.



This morning Navigator Elementary students participated in National Walk/Bike to School

Navigator Elementary students and staff celebrated the end of the school year with Field Day 2023. The kids enjoyed a fun filled day including track events, a Kona Ice treat, kickball, bounce house and a pool swim. Thank you to our volunteers for helping at this event and our PTO for sponsoring.





Clarity Racing Team visits Navigator Elementary
Students observed the components of the race car and shared their observations. Mrs. Patton shared the science involved in racing a stock car including the weight of the car, fire protection and how the tires sick to the roadway/racetrack. They learned about Bernoulli principal of when air or water going over a longer surface it moves faster and creates lift. This helps the car stay on the ground when going at high rates of speed by slowing the air going across the top of the car using the spoiler. Clarity also shared different careers related to automotive and racing.





Yesterday, we held the the 5th grade music performance. The students showcased their learning with Ms. Schuster. Mr. Winkelman spent the day with us volunteering as part of our Watch D.O.G.S. program.

Tonight our 4th grade students showcased their music learning in a performance organized by Ms. Schuster. Student art work was displayed in the lobby of the theater organized by Mrs. Shappell.




Mr. Grima joined us on Wednesday to join us as a volunteer as a part of the Navigator Watch D.O.G.S. Program.




Today the second grade students from Farley and Country Elementary toured Navigator. This group will be our first third grade class to join Navigator Elementary in the fall of 2023!



Country and Farley third grade students visited Navigator Elementary. These future fourth grade students learned about Navigator from our Fifth Grade Leadership Team and took the
students on a building tour.





Navigator students decorated the front sidewalk with artwork and welcoming messages to the second and third grade students and teachers visiting us and touring Navigator Elementary this week.



On Thursday, we were fortunate to have Mr. Fitzgerald and Mr. Murphy join us as WATCH D.O.G.S. volunteers. Mr. Murphy joined one of the PE classes to cheer on runners as they ran the mile out on the track.


This week we had two dads join us and volunteer for a day in the Watch DOGS program. Today Mr. Jackson joined us and Mr. Grima joined us on Tuesday. We really appreciate our volunteers for the time and support.
