Did you know that 85% of all mental health treatment is directly related to anxiety? We are thrilled to be able to provide a FREE series of learning to our families regarding mental health and how to support our children through the ever-increasing challenges they continue to face. The mental health series is a succession of topical webinars relevant to parents and families of not only Pinckney Community Schools but will be available to all parents in Livingston County as all five districts have committed to providing this time in a unified effort to support our students and families. Some of the topics include “Your Child’s Anxiety”, “School Avoidance”, and “Effects of Screen Time” with a full list of dates and topics provided below.
We invite all families to join our first session VIRTUALLY or in person on Thursday, November 9th from 6:30-7:30 at PCHS Pirate Union. One thing to know about the webinars is that families can join and participate virtually and be completely anonymous. Parents can also join the webinar in person where we will have mental health specialists onsite to answer any questions. Dinner will also be provided to parents from 6:00-6:30 p.m. The link to RSVP for the in-person viewing is HERE which helps us plan for the amount of food to order.
