Congratulations to Navigator 6th grader, Rylee Kroll, whose shirt design was selected as the "Official" t-shirt for the upcoming Michigan Future City competition, in which teams of students from schools from throughout the state compete by sharing their engineering design/project that focuses on a specific problem. This years focus is to choose a threat to a city’s water supply and design a resilient system to maintain a reliable supply of clean water, which Rylee clearly incorporated in her design. Great job Rylee as we are very proud of you and we know you and your team will do an awesome job at the Future City competition on January 28 at the Novi Collection Showcase. Go Pirates!!

Had a great time this morning with Mrs. Kanerva's and Ms. Smith's classes talking about the process required when making the decision to close school for a snow day as students learn about the decision making process. Thanks for having me! ~Mr. Todd

Although there are a lot of misperceptions about E-Sports, the truth is that our Pirates are learning and modeling sportsmanship, respect and pride as they compete against peers from around the state. Great job today at Northwood University! #onwardtovictory

Kudos to our Pirates for taking time on a cold Saturday morning to serve our greater community during the holiday season. #piratesserve #piratepride

Great holiday concert by both our Pathfinder and high school choirs! Love seeing and hearing our talented students perform so many of our holiday favorites!

The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority and I so appreciate the team of both local and county first responders we trained with this morning as our collaborative partnership is paramount in being prepared.

3rd grade students in Mrs. Golin's class are learning how to think like scientists as they conduct the "Naked egg" experiment as they have to use deductive reasoning to explain why the shell of an egg disappears after soaking in a cup of vinegar. These Pirates love science!

Proud to be part of an organization that is so committed to serving our community as we sponsor the mobile food pantry ever month. #proudtoserve #givingpirates

As parents, we know how important it is for kids to learn the essentials of creating/managing a budget, making smart choices when purchasing big items and understanding the natural consequences of having poor credit. That is why all 8th graders participated in the annual Reality Fair today, in partnership with LOC Credit Union. Students were fully engaged in what we hope will be a life impacting activity.

Good evening. Given the heavier than expected snowfall we received today, we will be closing school for Tuesday, Nov. 11 as our side streets and lake/back roads are not conducive for safe travel as they are not expected to be cleared by morning. Thank you and happy snow day!

We will be dismissing the high school at 2:10 and Pathfinder at 2:30 (20 min. early) to allow buses more time to get back for the elementary bus runs as we expect all buses to be running late. Navigator, Farley Hill and Country will dismiss at their normal times.

Given the expected snowfall that will continue this afternoon and evening, we are cancelling ALL after school activities, which includes athletics and community education classes. Thank you.

And so it begins. Here is a friendly reminder to make sure our kiddos are prepared for the frigid cold we will experience this week. And just think, only 4 or 5 more months of this!

All the best to our Pirate Football Team as they begin their playoff run tonight against Coldwater. We know our young men and coaches are ready for what we know will be a hard fought game, but one in which we will come out victorious. Go PIRATES!!☠️ #onwardtovictory

Happy Halloween from our Pirates in central office! Argh!!!!

I am so proud of the effort, focus and commitment from our entire staff this afternoon as they emersed themselves in curriculum alignment work and literacy instruction as we look to strengthen our learning experiences for students. Great job everyone! #collectiveefficacy

Great evening of Halloween fun and music as we host the annual PCS Orchestra Halloween Concert. There is still time to come on out and enjoy a ghoulish good time with us.

Great "peer-to-peer" learning occurring today as our Country Elementary 2nd graders completed and tested their seed distribution projects at the high school with their senior counterparts from New Tech. #authenticlearning #pirateslearningfrompirates #pbl #newtech

Congratulations to our Pirate Football Team who qualified for the state playoffs tonight with a dominant 49-12 victory over Jackson. Way to go Pirate Nation!! #onwardtovictory #piratesplayoffs

Authentic and multi-aged learning occurring at Country Elementary today as our New Tech Seniors begin their seed distribution project with 2nd grade students. #newtech #pbl #pirateslearningtogether
