Good evening. Given the heavier than expected snowfall we received today, we will be closing school for Tuesday, Nov. 11 as our side streets and lake/back roads are not conducive for safe travel as they are not expected to be cleared by morning. Thank you and happy snow day!
We will be dismissing the high school at 2:10 and Pathfinder at 2:30 (20 min. early) to allow buses more time to get back for the elementary bus runs as we expect all buses to be running late. Navigator, Farley Hill and Country will dismiss at their normal times.
Given the expected snowfall that will continue this afternoon and evening, we are cancelling ALL after school activities, which includes athletics and community education classes. Thank you.
And so it begins. Here is a friendly reminder to make sure our kiddos are prepared for the frigid cold we will experience this week. And just think, only 4 or 5 more months of this!
All the best to our Pirate Football Team as they begin their playoff run tonight against Coldwater. We know our young men and coaches are ready for what we know will be a hard fought game, but one in which we will come out victorious. Go PIRATES!!☠️ #onwardtovictory
Happy Halloween from our Pirates in central office! Argh!!!!
I am so proud of the effort, focus and commitment from our entire staff this afternoon as they emersed themselves in curriculum alignment work and literacy instruction as we look to strengthen our learning experiences for students. Great job everyone! #collectiveefficacy
Great evening of Halloween fun and music as we host the annual PCS Orchestra Halloween Concert. There is still time to come on out and enjoy a ghoulish good time with us.
Great "peer-to-peer" learning occurring today as our Country Elementary 2nd graders completed and tested their seed distribution projects at the high school with their senior counterparts from New Tech. #authenticlearning #pirateslearningfrompirates #pbl #newtech
Congratulations to our Pirate Football Team who qualified for the state playoffs tonight with a dominant 49-12 victory over Jackson. Way to go Pirate Nation!! #onwardtovictory #piratesplayoffs

Our Alumni Wall of Fame is growing with the induction of four new honorees today. Congratulations!
Today on this Homecoming Friday, we are honored to induct four new PCS alumni who are being recognized for their past and present contributions to our community and district. Their work, passion and dedication exemplify the core values of what we hold in high regard in being a Pinckney Pirate. Their plaques will join last years inaugural inductees on the Alumni Wall of Fame, which can be found at the theater entryway at PCHS. Please join me in congratulating Patricia Tessmer (Class of 1964), Greg Amburgey (Class of 1978), Heidi Swanson (Class of 1983) and Lindsey Schingeck-Smith (Class of 2003). Go Pirates!
It's is a "Cup O' Joe" tailgate lunch at the high school as students provide Coney Dogs for the PCHS staff. #hocofun
Homecoming fun at Pinckney High School! Go Pirates!
We were honored to have top ranking leaders from the Michigan National Guard visit our Cyber Institute this week as they look to recruit and train future cyber defenders.
What a perfect evening for Farley Hill's annual Fall Fest. Nothing better than seeing our students and community enjoying painting pumpkins, taking hayrides and even getting to pet a baby pig! Big thanks to both the Shell's Family Farm and our neighbors down the street, the Chambers Farm for your support!
We are always looking to improve on the options we are providing students during lunch and after school. In the past couple of weeks, we have added a fresh salad bar at Navigator and several healthy choices vending machines at both Pathfinder and the HS that will accept cash, debit cards, Apple Pay and even Bit Coin (whatever that is! 😆). This is in addition to the fresh grill we placed at the high school last year (think stir fry) and the fruit smoothie machine. Students, let us know what you think as we want to know what kinds of things you are looking for. #healthyeating #healthyminds
Mr. Sutton is loving his new role teaching elementary music and our students are equally loving having him as their teacher. Not only was he teaching students today how to do both a soft & hard drum, but he showed them how to use their special "Harry Potter" power! #musicisfun!
A Farley Hill 2nd grader shares her thoughts on what it means to be a Pinckney Pirate and to be honest, I couldn't of said it any better! Great job Brooke and GO PIRATES!!
